Crèche Curriculum
At St Michael's Family Resource Centre Crèche, we follow the Aistear curriculum with the children. Aistear is the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework for children from birth to six years in Ireland. Aistear is the Irish word for journey and we believe that the Aistear curriculum assists us to ignite the tremendous capacity that children have to learn and develop, and the importance of everyone working together to give children rich experiences in these early years. To do this, Aistear follows four key themes. They include:
These themes describe what children learn, such as the dispositions, attitudes and values, skills, knowledge, and understanding.
- Well-being
- Identity and Belonging
- Communicating
